"Matt Havers is a phenomenal agent — refreshingly honest and has expert level knowledge of Chittenden County and surrounding areas of northern Vermont. My experience with Matt and Flat Fee was as a home buyer, but I will only work with them should I sell or buy again in the future.

We had a decent list of “must have” criteria, paired with a modestly average budget... yes, every agent’s dream buyer, especially in Vermont’s super competitive market (*sigh*). Over the course of a year, we requested to view a ridiculous number of listings (including quite a few outside of Chittenden County). I cringe when I think of how many evenings, weekends, and miles Matt sacrificed for the cause. I was starting to feel defeated by my own (questionably unrealistic) demands in a seemingly uncooperative market, but Matt assured that we didn’t have to—and more more importantly, that we shouldn’t—compromise just to close a deal. Truly grateful we followed his advice, because we couldn’t be happier with our home. After finally hearing the wonderful words “congratulations, your offer has been accepted”, Matt helped us navigate through the closing process and stayed available afterwards to answer lingering questions.

Flat Fee’s flat rate model should be the gold standard, if not the ONLY standard for buying and selling real estate. The flat rate system not only removed a layer of guess work, it also created an even playing field for each home we considered. Buyers and sellers shouldn’t have to question an agent’s motive when making an offer or negotiating. It was so incredibly refreshing to know that Matt (and Flat Fee) had no reason whatsoever to be anything but transparent and honest! And, not going to lie, it sure was nice to receive a very sizable $$ check from Flat Fee following the sale (hello, all new kitchen upgrades)!
